Awareness programs aim to promote privacy and data protection awareness through innovative initiatives to build a society that is informed and committed to its rights. As part of our efforts to raise awareness of the importance of data protection in the healthcare sector, a seminar titled “Patient Data: Between Access and Confidentiality” was presented. The seminar aimed to support compliance with the provisions of the Personal Data Protection Law and its regulations, while also addressing the most prominent challenges associated with implementing the law in the healthcare environment and discussing mechanisms for dealing with them.

Certified Personal Data Protection Officer (CDPO) Course This specialized training program aims to develop competencies in personal data protection, privacy enhancement techniques, and compliance auditing, with a focus on practical skills for adapting to regulatory changes. The program focuses on the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) and international legislation such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), to ensure alignment with international standards and help organizations implement best practices in data protection compliance.
This program enhances trainees’ skills through accredited training that supports their career advancement and expands their job market opportunities. One of the initiatives we have undertaken is organizing and sponsoring the Women in Security and Privacy (WISP) GCC event on March 15th in Riyadh. This event highlights the importance of empowering women in the fields of cybersecurity and privacy. This event brought together leading experts and pioneers in cybersecurity and privacy, with discussions focusing on the challenges women face in these fields and how to empower them and enhance their active participation in the future. The event served as an ideal platform for exchanging ideas and experiences, highlighting the latest developments and emphasizing the importance of strengthening women’s leadership roles, thus contributing to enhanced collaboration and building a secure and sustainable future in cybersecurity and privacy.

Our participation in the World Privacy Summit – Washington 2025

The Privacy Professionals team participated in the 2025 World Privacy Summit, held in Washington, D.C., from April 21-25. The summit brought together over 4,600 experts from around the world, representing regulatory bodies, international agencies, major corporations, international law firms, academic institutions, and specialized research and consulting centers. The summit featured prominent and influential organizations, including: Stanford University, Harvard University, OpenAI, the Future of Privacy Forum, Google, and Meta. This summit served as a leading international platform for presenting emerging trends, discussing shared challenges, and showcasing advanced governance models in the field of data protection.
Our team’s participation focused on achieving the following objectives: To gain insight into the latest international trends in privacy and data protection. To build professional relationships with leading experts and institutions worldwide. To explore opportunities for collaboration in training, capacity building, and the development of regulatory tools. To adapt global practices to the local context in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. To enhance the implementation of the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) by aligning it with best practices. Differences in Global Legislation: The summit highlighted regulatory disparities between countries and their direct impact on data transfer and cross-border partnerships, emphasizing the need to develop flexible governance models that can adapt to different contexts. Contextual Policy Design: The importance of adapting data protection policies and legislation to the specific needs of each sector, such as education, health, and digital advertising, was emphasized, taking into account cultural and geographical differences during implementation. Privacy and Trust in the Digital Age: The summit highlighted the shift in the perception of privacy from a legal obligation to a fundamental pillar of user trust and the continuity of digital services. Exploring advanced tools and techniques in compliance management and assessing their suitability for developing privacy services locally in both the public and private sectors. Implications for the Saudi Market This participation enabled the team to grasp international trends and connect them to the local market, which helps in: Supporting Saudi entities in developing their data protection systems using advanced methods aligned with international trends. Building a deeper understanding of the challenges shared between the Saudi market and global markets, contributing to the design of practical solutions that suit various regulatory contexts. Developing an advanced knowledge infrastructure that supports the provision of consulting and training services based on up-to-date content and leading international trends. Stimulating opportunities for collaboration in developing national privacy tools, both technically and organizationally, in partnership with global entities. Future Directions and the Vision of “Privacy Professionals” Building on its participation in the Global Summit, “Privacy Professionals” adopts a strategic direction aimed at consolidating its position as a national leader with a global reach in the field of privacy, through: Activating the professional partnerships agreed upon during the Summit and transforming them into development and training programs, and professional products that contribute to raising the maturity of the local market. Expanding the scope of consulting services according to international standards, while taking into account the Kingdom’s legislative environment. Launching knowledge initiatives and specialized training content that leverages international best practices and presents them to local entities in a practical and easily applicable manner. Expanding cooperation with regulatory and professional bodies both domestically and internationally to develop joint solutions that serve the Saudi market and the region. Privacy Professionals aims to establish a globally recognized Saudi professional presence that contributes to building an integrated and sustainable privacy sector, fostering trust and aligning with the national ambition for excellence in data protection and rights management within the digital ecosystem.
